The role of primary drivers and cave complexity on cave spider diversity
We are back with lectures after the summer break!
A lecture titled “The role of primary drivers and cave complexity on cave spider diversity” will be given by Catarina Teixeira, biology student from University of Lisbon, Portugal.
She will present a new technique, tested previously on the Natural Park of Serra da Arrábida in Portugal, in which LiDAR technology is used to describe the complexity of cave microhabitats. The goal of her project is to determine and test the role that cave microhabitat complexity and primary drivers (e.g. temperature, humidity, ect.) play in the diversity of cave spiders in Croatia.
Catarina is in Croatia as an Erasmus+ student at the Ruđer Bošković Institute and works closely with the CBSS.
