CBSS member awarded with Alexander von Humboldt Memorial Award
The Natural Science Association Senckenberg Gesellschaft für Naturforschung, founded in 1817, is one of the oldest and largest in Europe. Today it includes research institutes and museums and publishes 9 journals in the area of biodiversity, marine biology, evolution and paleontology. The Association annually awards the Alexander von Humboldt Prize for the best article published in their journals.
This year’s award was awarded to the article “Molecular phylogeny of the cave beetle genus Hadesia (Coleoptera: Leiodidae: Cholevinae: Leptodirine), with a description of a new species from Montenegro” by Slavko Polak, Teo Delić, Rok Kostanjasek and Peter Trontelj.
