The exhibition “Balkan journeys of Karel Absolon (1908-1922)“
The exhibition evokes ten journeys of Czech archaeologist, geographer, paleontologist and speleologist Karel Absolon to the Balkans from 1908 to 1922. At that time the Dinaric Karst was still unknown. He was photographing the ethnographic heritage and corresponding with Yugoslav scholars, such as Dragutin Gorjanovic-Kramberger and August Langhoffer.
The exhibition will be opened until October 6th, 2019 at the Archaeological museum in Zagreb.
