Two new subterranean gastropod species from Croatia

Paladilhiopsis insularis and Plagigeyeria jalzici – their size is like the match head, they have a whitish shells and spend all their lives in groundwaters/caves. They are found only in Rudnica VI near Ogulin and probably their distribution would be limited to Rudnica VI as this cave is hydrologically isolated from the surrounding area. Rudnica VI is also the cave type locality for two more subterranean freshwater gastropod species Lanzaia rudnicae and Hadziella rudnicae and the subterranean sponge Eunapius subterraneus mollisparspanis.
